input on grade much appreciated! I always seek input when there is a big price difference (at least at my budget!) between grades.

thanks!

Nice color and bold date. VG-10 with a decent shot at Fine.

I find myself a bit worried about the color and amount of crud inside the devices - a bit of a turnoff for a semi-key and the pics aren't confidence-inspiring. VG probably, maybe Fine as nlp says but I'd be hesitant to reach $25 for it given the appearance.

I'm not too bothered by the crud--I would be more concerned if there weren't any.
The lighting isn't showing much detail, but given what I see on the feather tips, there might be more on LIBERTY too. I'd go for it if you have the option to inspect and return if you don't like it. $25 is a safe offer given the detail of the picture.

Technically, details are easily F. I have to agree though there's a bit to much crud on the reverse.

to me it looks like a low end f-12. I'd wait for one without the "stuff" on it. Decent 73's are out there, be patient.
Rest in Peace

I like it. Nice looking coin, and solid F-12 to me based on what I see with the TPGs.

As an update, I did put in a winning offer on this coin. I believe the coin has a repunched date and is the 1873/73 (repunching to the north). These are really rare and Rick Snow has one of these in VF20 for $250. Guess I'll have to wait and see. There is a return policy in case the crud on the reverse bothers me.
