The seller has a WHOPPING 3 total transactions. Yeah, that auction MUST be legitimate

I'll say but every year the older sets become more valuable especially since a lot of people take them apart

Hmmm. No Feedback as a seller yet.

My guess for the linked auction is, the buyer (who has a bunch of feedback and seems to specialize in sets) is looking at the Kennedy in this set and seeing a potential DCAM. It certainly hints at that in the small photos. A DCAM '66 SMS Kennedy is a huge value-adder, maybe a $1000+ coin.

Wow, I just got a crash course on SMSs. Thanks guys. The pictures were horrible in that listing...probably on purpose.

Something about that auction doesn't seem quite right.

That is amazing! I'll have to dig out my old Special Mint Sets to see what I have ... but they're probably nothing like this one.

No, that was between two bidders and a seller with 3 transactions. I dont believe that to be a legit auction at all. The pics are not anywhere near good enough to even consider dropping that much on the off chancew that you might get lucky and pull a grade on that coin like that. Bettr odds playing the lottery. And cheaper.

If it IS legit, a fool and his money...
