This is a upgrade from my fist one

1909-S Lincoln Cent For Grading, I also am not sure if $100 was a good price for this?

This looks like a poorly detailed piece with VF+/XF levels of wear. Lincoln's hair is mushy and the S looks odd. I will assume it's genuine. $100 is current market retail for a raw VF+.

I would not have taken a chance on this one. Odd looking date and altered surfaces IMO.

This coin looks to have been cleaned (roughly) - especially look at the areas between the 'One' and 'Cent' on the reverse. There are a bunch of nicks in a pattern. It looks like someone scraped or tried to physically remove dirt/etc. I also notice on the front that the fields are a different color than the areas right around design pieces (Lincoln himself, the date, the lettering). My guess is this coin would grade VF details, cleaned. I would not have paid $100 for this coin. Too problematic.

ef40 details with altered surface. It is possibly cleaned by wiping.

The coin has the appearance of some coins found while metal detecting on the beach. Probably unlikely that was the case though. But certainly a spot holder until something sweeter comes along.
