I am working on a full bu set and this is a really great coin and would probably become the nicest one in the set. I primarily have been getting 63 and 64 and fbl where can. So the question is crake this one and put it in the set, or sell it off and use the funds to buy a few other ones I need. I have around $30 dollars into this one which is an amazing price. Also, I could always gamble and go for a resubmit. What grade do you think it deserves, it is in an ngc holder. Thanks for looking and the feed back.

This is a beauty. I'll risk my neck and say MS-60. Not sure about the "PASS AND STOW" I'm still learning.

If you have no other of this date and mint crack it and proudly display it with it's brothers. The Franklin half set was the first one I had ever completed. Even tho many were circulation finds I have a few proof in my album too.

If you have 30 in it already, I wouldn't bother resubmitting it. It looks like 63/64 and FBL for this date/mm is a bit excessive. I would crack it and add it to the set.

Crack it for the set. This one's not really pricey until MS65 (64 if FBL) - you got a nice deal on it. I don't see it exceeding 64 unless you get really lucky.

I like it, it looks like it's starting to have some rim tone which is nice. I'd crack it out, looks to be MS64

I like Franklin's a lot and this one is nice but I don't see it going higher than 64 if you're really lucky. What is the grade on the holder it's in now?

This looks like an MS-64.
I would crack it and put it with your other ones. I do not think it's worth resubmitting it.

Not my series but I'd say it's a firm 63.

I know this is an old topic, but just to let you know I still have not done anything with this half. It is in an NGC 65 holder, which most of you think is over graded, so I am thinking the best thing to do would be sell it, probably on ebay where people will bid for what the slab says, and then buy another one.

I agree with selling it in its holder and buy another. Looks MS-63/64. I don't see fbl's. There's marks on the bottom lines that keep it from having FBL. I have a complete Dansco set of BU/PR's. And honestly I have to say maybe 3 really have true FBL's. Hard to find them without being already put in holders and graded. And sometimes the TPG's don't get it right as far as I'm concerned. Nice coin though!

If it had fbl even in 63 it would be a 1400 dollar coin, with a jump to around 11 thousand in 64.
