Hello everyone its me again. I have this morning declined his refund on a new transaction with paypal as there instructions.

I spoke with a PP rep and said I will allow the guy a couple days to refund on the original transaction then if he has not I will then open a dispute case not as described as per Paypal requirements.
I think he is aware of what he has done and will pay the right way to avoid problems.

Now I have another coin I want you all to examine please.

I like it its not a top end its bit rough around the edges that's why I like it bit like me LOL. Old and rough. Authenticity is what I really want not the best in the world just a real one will do. Thank you to everyone for all you help.

I am pretty sure it is genuine as I read on your site this is variety that was made with the broken N. But I guess after what's happened I just cant be so sure.
What would be a good figure to pay for this particular one I do like it , I no it is a bit worn but that's OK. I like the broken N about it don't no why just do. Maybe because its different?.

Definitely genuine, aVF i'd call it,probably pay $125 to $150 maybe a little more as it is the rarer broken N variety.

I would say that coin will touch $200 in that condition due to the broken N
anything under that is a good price imo

Sweetap, do you have access to any coin dealers? If you do, I'd see if you can get one from them - with this kind of coin, it's much safer to buy from a reputable dealer as opposed to an online seller. Plus, you can inspect the coin in hand which is a huge advantage.

Try online with "Ye Olde Coin Company" in Adelaide or at the "Toss of a Coin" on Brighton Road. Both are extremely honest sellers with exceptional stock and knowledge.!! Hope this helps.!!

Always good to use a reputable person with pre-decimal, luckily Adelaide has several to choose from.!!
Richard has an online shop (Ye Olde Coin Company) with an extensive list rather than using ebay, or a trip to Gerry's shop on Brighton Road will make your eyes boggle.!!

I would highly recommend Gerry at the Toss of A coin, he is a great guy who is very honest and fair with his valuations.

Hi Sweetap,

You will find many posts on coin cleaning by doing a quick search in the main forum, using the search box.

Many people have strong opinions on coin cleaning, so expect to read some very good, (and quite heated) arguments both ways.

You will also find techniques, and people with previous experience, should you still decide to proceed after reading those posts.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Tim Bowden
