Nothing silly about that mate.

Your reason is much better than mine. I just like 'em ....... (ha ha ha).

And you'd be surprised the different walks of life that collectors, (collecting for what ever reason), come from. Not what you'd expect, I'll almost guarantee.

Enjoy what is left of your weekend.

Well Tim to sum I'm sure its just plain silly but when they get on in years maybe it wont seem so silly but its about family and where all different there.

And I do collect coins sort of always keep my 50 cent bits and I like to get the odd florin which is where the penny idea came from I just looked up dates and new the 1930 wasn't worth going for be lucky to get one not 5 lol.

Any ways I will keep at my goal I really would like to do this for them it would make me happy so I will not give up just yet.

And thanks Tim your support has been great thank you. And for all the others who replied to Thank you .

2nd & 4th would be my picks if I were after a 25 ! , mainly because they look like they've never been cleaned.

OK - at a glance.

1st one has been mildly cleaned - avoid

All in relatively similar condition, at 'Fine', give or take a bit.

I know the seller 'briellamay', and would vouch for them as reliable - If something goes wrong, they are likely to behave reputably, (in my experience), so in your case I would go with them. It is a reasonable coin that is fairly tidy at a good price - it does has a bit of grott, and may have been lightly oiled at some stage (can't really tell), but nothing too serious - this one will probably go for a bit less than the others, as well, as the others have more desirable images. Expect a last minute flurry.

The other seller I haven't dealt with, so can't comment on.

Sound fair enough?

Please note: This is just my opinion.

I worry a bit about 2 and 4, given that 1, 2, & 4 are all from the same seller.

The 1st is cleaned, but not mentioned, so it is hard to know if the seller is straight up, or just doesn't know.

The other images from same seller are dull, which can hide evidence of cleaning.

Hi sweetap.

Further to last, just be aware that their is a little surface grott.

I don't mind that myself, (a little bit of grott), but others may have different opinions - supports being in it's 'natural state', to a degree. There is also a light rim bump - nothing too significant.

I think the images for this coin are more 'true' to the coin than the others are. 'warts and all'.
Where-as the other coin images are taken from an angle to promote detail, and hide detractors a bit from easy identification.

All in all though, I think it is a pretty good coin for your purposes, and I think you'll get better value for money for it.

Good luck mate - let us know how you get on.

I lost no 3 Tim it finished while I was typing the last reply and someone liked it more than me I think. Was so cheap to.

Now I'm worried about what serial said about 4 and the bad photos it does look a bit strange on a an angle like that and colour looks funny . There are like 6 more in the next 2 days and ye old coins has a nice one for 175 and one for 150 . But I like this one. These are buy it now so I don't have to wait or bid I like that idea .

Thank you awalling I also found one on this site under the auctions that is nice to.

But I have bought the first 1925 that I think is at least a real one.

Now guys I have 1 1946 pictured in earlier post that has some vertigris I think you call it (green corrosion) Can I do anything with that , and on this 1925 can I get the black stain of or do I just do nothing . Thank you all for everything and please don't tell me this one is fake. It looks good to me and was less than 120 delivered . G/F so only low end but its real. Thanks guys.
