I just came across this stunning coin in my collection and I am debating on whether or not it is a PCGS MS64 or MS65?

Might get a 64 if the graders are in a good mood. Otherwise, 63. Lots of tics, especially on the reverse. No chance at 65.

I think MS64 is not out of the question.

I moved your thread to Classic US grading ;)

Looks like a nice coin. May make MS-64 but yeah, 65 is far-fetched.

I'm with vermontensium, MS63 most likely but a MS64 is NOT out of the question, depending on the amount of ticks on the face and fields on the obverse.

It would take a very special coin of this date/mm to land in a PCGS MS65 slab. This most likely would max out at MS63. Still a very nice example for this date/mm.

From what I see in the pictures, I'm going with MS-64. I could see higher, possibly, in hand.

Either way, sweet strike for a New Orleans Morgan!
