Please note these are scans from the seller. The plastic holder the coin is in is badly deteriorated. Assuming the coin is natural, original, and uncleaned, what do you think it will grade?

Spectacular piece. Based on the pictures and luster I'd reckon it's MS or at the very least very high AU.

I only see one scuff on the cheek and hardly any hits anywhere. With a fairly clean check and minimum hits ms64 should be in the range. nlp

A 64 would be great. I am really hoping it has enough luster to go 65 when in hand.

Does luster help with the final grade?

Yes. It is arguably the most important factor in grade.

The soft PVC flip doesn't help with the cause. Depending on what it looks like, and smells like, once in hand will help a lot. I wanna see better pics.

I may never do a TPG ... but never say never?

I personally like crisp Luster (and mild even toning)

I do not appreciate blotchy un-even toning.

The combination of both to me is breath taking ... on a higher MS grade coin.

But each to his/her liking.

The coin I like..THE PICTUERS.......I need some real photo's
to bring any truth to the OP's question of grade.....WE all know.. if we are to help anyone...we need "quality photo's"
to really help anyone with confidence.

Definitely would like better pics once you get this coin. Looks like MS from details that can be made out but the surfaces are impossible to see through that nasty old holder. I would give that CC an acetone soak asap as well.

Yes, it will be going into acetone as soon as I get it. I should have it Tuesday and will have it imaged by my local dealer by Thursday, if not Wednesday.
