I wouldn't say that it's a horrible deal. Might not be the best thing to buy in terms of appreciating value, but yes you didn't overpay too much. I would've said $20 or $25 in its condition

$5 to $8 too much in my opinion but you need to make 'mistakes' to learn and that 'tuition' is priceless.

For ebay, not too shabby but overall there was a lot of legroom for improvement. For $30 you could get a nice AU.
