I am new to this wonderful world of coins, so everything I find now seems to be some interesting treasure. Having said that let me get to my story. I had recently bought 2 rolls of '01 Kennedy half dollars in the us mint wrapper because the mood struck me, I figured I'd hold on to em and maybe some day they might be worth a bit. My kids (6 and 5 yrs old) also found them and thought those coins should be freed from their paper prison. I was a bit miffed but compared to what they usually do it was mild so I thought to make the best of a situation and look for a perfect coin to send in for grading. Alas, I did not find any halves without scratches but I did find this cool half that has some odd toning, although no other coins in the roll were like this and the coin before and after it were fine I think this might be corrosion on the coin because it has a faint blue tint to it at the base of Kennedy's neck. Any who please find enclosed a picture of my latest "treasure".

I don't see the toning on the picture, but it looks like the S and T in Trust are from a weak strike.

I can see the color variation on the coin ,,its hard to tell exactly what it is so determining a cause is just as difficult .

is the color on the reverse as well ?
