According to some folks here, Redzapsid this should make it worth a fortune as a rarity.

Personally, I was never enamoured with any of the blown glass "coins", although I can understand why some collectors would go for them.

Any way, if I was in your shoes, I'd return it.

I wonder if grading companies will take the glass piece into account when assigning grades.

^^^ I dont think they grade any glass coins, just for the reason of the glass breaking & not being part of the actual coin.

Comparing the 2 I currently have, there is a huge difference. The one with the messed up looking frog is much darker in the coloured areas than the normal looking frog and is more crisp where the colour meets the engraving. I'll have to check the 3rd I ordered. I got an email notice from the mint saying it was shipped out yesterday. I had a package today but it was the moon mask which I wasnt expecting. The moon mask looks much better in person than the pictures.

Same here - each frog I've seen in person have been very different in terms of colouring and amount of glass.

Have some question, guys and girls, while your opinion important to me:

I have to send some "Canadian Souvenir" to friends in other country. It has to be kind of souvenir and not a present or something.
In order to avoid sending stuff like "CN Tower Key Chain", I decided to buy the coin.
These people do not understand nothing in coins, but understand in precious metals, so the coin like "Rare sterling 2007 Loonie from Wedding set" will only confuse them.
While simple SML with "1oz Argent Pure .9999" lettering could work fine as represent Canada (but due to the milk spots, I will not buy regular SML, and will not buy the "Replica", because word "Replica" mentioned in COA).

Which coin, do you think, from 2014 releases, which also represent the Canada can I gift?

Just examples:
2014 Proof Arctic Fox
2014 $50 Fine Silver Coin - Iconic Polar Bear
Nanazhooboo (IMO kitchy) coins
Sacred Teaching 1-st coin
Something from O Canada (2013 colored Maple Leaves maybe?)

Appreciate your opinion shared

Silveroid,

This was posted last night by shopaholic and I think it's a beautiful coin that would make a great gift. I'm not sure if it's still available or not at RCM.

I'd send something in the $30-35 range. The worst kind of present is the one you have to pay something to receive (duty or vat) I like those 1.5 oz coins the polar bear or arctic fox. At current spot you can easily fit it in that range without the worry about your friend having to pay 20% or so I forget.

Well I guess any 1oz silver coin proof or not can be claimed at spot price.

I would suggest (maybe shipping too expensive to Canada) the 2014 Peregrine Falcon bullion coin slabbed by NGC in Gem Uncirculated from Paradise Mint (US) for $32.99 (USD). The bullion coin is very nice & hopefully milkspots are an issue of the past. I ordered 2 & they look great!

I would suggest keeping it simple. The $20 for $20 farewell to the penny would be my choice.
