PCGS gave this Proof-62BN, and it is in an old green holder. I firmly believe this should be RB, but oh well. At this point, you should be thinking "Hey, Copper nickel Indian cents can't be designed brown/red-brown/red". This is my 4th and last pattern Indian Head cent I've posted in this thread. This 1863 is Bronze.

This thread is great! I need to pull out my well traveled IHC and see if I can get some decent pictures this week-end. All the IHCs I have were given to me by my uncle when I was a child.

I'd say that as we approach the end of the Copper-Nickle era, Hawkeye & Robbudo are lapping the field. Amazing coins!

Here are a few of my 1863s. The pattern is graded PF64BN, although it is no longer in my collection as of earlier this year. It was a beauty! All purple and rose color with very solid mirrors.

Some very beautiful coins here, the Flying Eagles are probably my favorite coin I don't own.

A shame I'd feel too embarrassed to post anything but my 1908 here after such lovely contributions.
