Pretty worn out 1864L...is the weak "N" in "ONE" typical?

The "weak N" on the reverse is actually part of the design. It is not weak, it is known as a "shallow N" and is found on all 1864 Bronze, 1865, 1866, 1867, 1868, 1869 coins. It can be found on some 1870, 1871, 1872 as well, with the 1871 being very scarce. All 1877 business strikes will exhibit a "shallow N" as well.

Nice coins Paleo! The 64L is a very nice example of what looks to be the S-7 RPD (might be wrong on the attribution). Might carry an added premium for a RPD that bold.

Judging by the date position to the bust, I believe it is the 64-L Snow-2. Here's my well-worn 64-L Snow-1

Thanks for the comment RR. I think it might be a Snow-1, but don't have reference material. There is a nice die crack from the bottom of the "4" to the margin of the coin if that helps. PG

Here are a couple of closeups of the date in the '64L. I'm still leaning toward a Snow-1 on it based on RPD placement. Thoughts? (Looks like I need to "Verdicare" this gal...) PG

Paleoguy, check out the date placement in relation to the bust point on my coin--that's the Snow-1 position. On Snow-1 the 1/1 is angled differently too. The underlying 8 is also stronger. Yours is without a doubt Snow-2.

Upstate, your 64-L is also the Snow-2 RPD.

I've never had a variety coin before (that I knew) I'm kind of excited. Any added value?

There's definitely added collector interest and value. Snow's guide gives it 2 stars or "2-3X" premium. He also says the higher-value dates have somewhat lower premiums than more common coins.
