1865 "Fancy 5" Snow-1a THis coin was originally thought to be an 1865/4 overdate, but later determined that the digit punch was re-engraved from an 1864. This digit punch is also found on some 2-cent coins from the date. Very scarce. This coin is graded MS63BN and photosealed by Rick Snow.

Here is the boldest Doubled Die in the IHC series. 1865 "Fancy 5" Snow-2 DDR. Very rare with about 50 examples traced in all grades. This is the nicer of two examples I currently have in my set. It is for sale right now.

Wow--I really like those high-grade varieties! I have a 1865 S-3 somewhere--another RPD that stands out in any grade.

1866 I really am impressed with the quality of the coins (other than mine ) in this thread. I for one am enjoying them greatly. Just goes to show it's a great idea to bring this back Moe.
