A Mint rep just told me that my silver coins that had a estimated shipping date in the past are "likely" to ship on 2 May. But she stressed the LIKELY part several times.

So in other words probably not lol. I have an order stuck in that time warp as well, at least now we know not to expect it before next month

So. . . I just got a PCGS membership. But it is not clear to me if my Customer number is the same as my Collectors Club Member number (that I have to put on the form to submit these HOF coins for grading)? Can anyone clarify?

Last time I checked (2 or 3 days ago) my gold proof was backordered and scheduled to ship on 4/16. My unc gold was set to ship on 6/21. Now they're both due to be shipped on 6/21. I placed my order at 1:05 p.m. on 3/27. I do have all my silver coins and the halves. Guess I can't complain.

My guess is that a lot of these coins are going to get shipped at the same time and that the grading services are going to be flooded because they're going to come in June close to the deadline for the special stickers and that it will take over 2 months to get your submissions back. Or not.

My understanding is the first strike cutoff date is 6 May 2014, so can only submit for FS if your package has that date.
Not sure if I would get coins graded after that point?

EDIT: Just in case anyone else was wondering I confirmed with PCGS that the Customer number is the same as the Collectors Club Member number.

All of my undelivered silver orders (from 27 Mar to 5 Apr) have had their shipping dates moved to 10 May. Either they are doing a hard press to get all of the silver ordered shipped or this is not a solid shipping estimate.
Call me slightly jaded, but I'm leaning towards the latter.

I ordered all of my coins on the first day, within the first hour. They've all been received with the exception of one proof and one unc gold. My projected ship date is 6/15. I have to assume that there's not a whole lot of folks who are in line ahead of me (assuming the lineup is scrupulously adhered to). Assuming this is all correct, how many "First Strike" qualifiers can there be if the cutoff date of May 6th is not changed? Seems to me that the about the only with the coins in hand should be Baltimore attendees and people who were in line at the mint on the day of release. Am I naive? Does Home Shopping Network have 5,000 for sale at $1,500 each? If I'm correct, and HSN doesn't have an amount of coins might PCGS push the ship date to later?

Have there been other instances where PCGS/NGC have set a cutoff date then changed it due to something like this?

Sometimes I think I have no luck. They ship my silver proof coins Tuesday and it all looked good. USPS tracking showed them 'out for delivery' yesterday in the morning. Except, they were not delivered.

Now tracking shows 'delivery status not updated'....whatever that means.

Seems they have vanished or the mail carrier is very lost.

So you're saying that if weren't for bad luck, you wouldn't have any luck at all (sorry...couldn't resist)? My guess is you'll see your coins tomorrow. Maybe the "delivery status not updated" message is their way of saying they haven't forgotten about you.
Or not.

These estimated shipping dates are still jumping around all over the place. My silver proof went from July 7, down to May 13. Hopefully it stays there, instead of changing for the 6th time.

Not sure if it is a good, bad, or sign of normalcy, but now my orders seem to be doing the "1 day backwards" dance.
Guess I'll go glass-half-full & say at least it is being updated.
