My silver UNC and silver proof arrived in the same box on Friday, 5/25. They look pretty good.
One complaint is that the capsules are almost impossible to pop out of the boxes. They're wedged in very tightly and the finger hole is so small that there's no way I can get even my pinky in there. It requires a pen or some kind of a tool, but then you run the risk of damaging the box.

Looks like my first submission to PCGS has arrived there. (9 silver & 1 clad proof). Will now wait & see how it goes.

All my orders' ship date, including those I've tried after the waiting list was on for a few hours, had moved to 5/13. More wait and see.....

I have my silver coins (3) and one each of the halves. Do you think it makes economic sense to submit them to PCGS if I have no intention of selling them? Will they command a substantial premium over a "raw" coin?

Well USPS did it to me. They had my silvers 'out for delivery' Saturday but didn't deliver. Nothing yesterday either so I filled out an on line enquiry last night around 7pm.
Little back story: the coins were being delivered to my mother in law who is a snowbird in the southern states. We were talking to her on the telephone at 7 last night as I filled out the on line form. Today, USPS tracking is showing a attempted delivery notice was left at (you guessed it) 7pm last night. That is untrue. There were three people home at that time and for several hours before and after.
Regardless, the snowbirds have now left the States for the summer and there is no one to retrieve the package. I guess it will sit at the PO for 15 days and then be returned to sender. Anyway. I'll never see those coins and likely will be out their cost too.
The irony is that the Canadian mailman just delivered a proof silver that I ordered from a CDN dealer. What a fantastic coin.
PS regarding removing the coin from the case: it's really tight but a golf tee worked perfectly to pop it out with no damage.

to CC-Ottawa, if your mother in law is gone for the summer wouldn't she be getting her mail forwarded? I don't get why you think you will never see the ooins...

She has her mail being forwarded starting tomorrow but per their website, USPS won't forward packages internationally (she's in Canada too) and they return to sender. BUT, recent development: The tracking now shows that at 2:47pm today, the package was 'delivered'...but oddly 3 minutes later at 2:50pm, it was 'undeliverable as addressed' and 'It is being returned if appropriate information is available'. Not sure how something is both delivered and undeliverable at virtually the same time. lol Since the MIL was on a plane this morning, I'm hoping that her neighbour, who is watching the house for her, has accepted the package or they left it at the house in which case the neighbour will pick it up. I guess it's wait and see. I'm going with 50/50 at this point.

This should be an interesting few weeks as far as secondary markets for those that were lucky enough to get coins graded. Of the 850 HOF coins for sale on ebay I counted only 73 of the "Baltimore" variants, only 8.6% of the total available. There were 404 non-Baltimore graded coins available, 47.5% And the rest (373) were ungraded, 43.9% I am still wondering if the non-Baltimore graded coins will slowly creep up in price as the Baltimore graded coins disappear. And if so will they reach the prices the Baltimore coins commanded when they were more plentiful? (Note: rough numbers as I did not count each one but did general searches.)

Don't forget...there are a LOT of orders that have not shipped yet...I would say most of the 50k/400k have NOT shipped
When these all hit the market I really do not see that creating a rise in price. The increased supply should drop the price to some acceptable level until they are absorbed...only after that can they develop a true value

True, but those coins will not be FS/ER eligible. I do think the mass influx of raw coins will have some effect on FS/ER coins, I am curious to see how much. Will to downward pressure of mass raw coins be balanced by the upward pressure of fewer (or no) Baltimore coins. . . IDK
(As an example I submit the raw clad coins, which can still be purchased from the Mint. Their prices have gone from $32 to $35 over the last 2 weeks or so.)

Overall I'm pretty happy with having a curved coin in the collection. I hope the US Mint continues to get creative with designs. Wonder if the NFL one will resemble a football...
oooh, and the Girl Scouts one should have looked like a cookie!

Can anyone tell me whom I would talk to / email if I wanted to post a trade of the Baltimore coins? (I have too many of 1 type & not enough of the other). I am short of the 250 post required & wanted to know if an exception could be made.

The bubble will burst on the HOF.

The bubble might burst but this coin will always be a winner. These coins will always sell for more than the issue price.
