Any IHC variety collector in the market for the cool 1897 Snow-1 should check out this auction--a PCGS VF30 for only $129--and the grade is accurate.
For a comparison, Rick Snow is currently selling a (raw) VF30 for $350.

This is just a friendly heads-up to fellow CCFers--Not my coin.

Raymo, perhaps it's the die state...it sure looks like a "pick axe" to me. Which reverse is paired with this one?

Yeah--I have a hard time paying good money for problem coins. I'd take a nice G4 before that one.

I didn't go strong enough, somebody else spotted it too. Pretty sure it was a Snow-5.....http://www.ebay.com/itm/1863-Indian...p=true&rt=nc

Yeah--that sure looks like the "feather bar" S-5.
I would've been hesitant bidding much higher--unsure about surfaces/color.

I'm honestly not sure that IHC variety gets much of a premium with that heavy rev. corrosion.
But I've seen some really butt-ugly/corroded 1870's sell for good money on eBay--I'd take a G4 w/ even wear over a "EF details" slug.

Definitely the S-1--is that yours? That coin's been through a lot.
