OcalaFlorida Pillar of the Community United States 2824 Posts	Posted 04/02/2014 11:07 am I came across this 1988-P Which I am pretty sure is PMD Its just it had a few issues that I wonder how/why/huh? It is thicker and has rounded edges? Dyer coin maybe? But it's not smaller in size even with coin folding in over design. Even though the coin is textured it has full design which appears to be raised to thickness of outer rim on both sides. Lack of detail on both reverse memorial but rim is higher? The rim is folding in over the letters in design. Report this Post to the Staff

Collector-Corner Pillar of the Community 872 Posts	Posted 04/02/2014 12:16 pm It was made with zinc is the first problem. 2nd problem is it is aging. 3rd problem is, that what you see in that zinc coin, inevitably will happen to most zincs. = ( Its been in the heat and its rotting from within. As with all other Circulated coins, one may never know its true path, and our best guess is what we see. Thats why I steer clear of all zincs. If I happen to find a DDO/ DDR / RPM, I simply offer that coin on the discounted side just to get rid of it. Report this Post to the Staff
