Or fresh from a steaming pile of trash...

Auction ending at 08:56 AM GMT

Note the Byzantine Anonymous Follis at the bottom of the 2nd photo.

Note also "roman coins various dates and detail but some excellent specimens silver and bronze mostly Uncleaned RELISTED DUE TO NONE PAYER (sic)"

I didn't see any "nice silver" in that pile and most of the Roman AE coins are little better than Culls.

I saw those...also saw some mints that wouldnt turn up at Hadrians wall. I just dont know why the guy is lying about the provenance - theres buzzwords for everywhere. Holyland coinage being the most effective, I reckon.

I bought one of his earlier lots.
Got a bit carried away to be fair

Nowhere near as good as I had hoped :(

There were 3 wheel-type design coins in the lot that I can't figure out...

If the coins have arrived, take a photo of that coin in question and post it here.

For starters we can see it has been holed.

And lasters, we can rule out that any of those coins were found where the listing title claims they were found.
(surprise me, "merry ole London"?)

Judean, almost definitely. It's their favorite design.
If there's an anchor on the other side, you can certainly write it off as Judean (and, somewhat obviously, as a coin that would never turn up anywhere near Hadrian's Wall, or Londinium for that matter).

Sooo, after some googling and confirming the coins as Judean/Widows Might...(Thanks Guys)

I did some looking up of the seller in question.
and what did I find... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Roman-Bro...400672369439
Bought from USA last month and most of them are now sitting in distilled water on my shelf !
and http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/L6-Lot-vo...251473672242 is where the Elagabalus silver he seeded the lot with came from.
