I'm more dealing with collector who speak in french. This week end, I end up with a guy using sometime fishcale in relation with coin. What is the meaning of this specification?

A fishscale, most likely refers to the five cent silver coin.
Here in the US we use the same term for a Three Cent piece which was even smaller.

Au Canada, la piece de monnaie de cing cents d'argent.
Aux Etats-Unis, la piece de monnaie de trois cents d'argent.

Yes, a fishscale refers to a Canadian 5 Cent piece minted from 1858-1921...
