Quote: I was in the same boat as you silveroid. I bought from them with no issues, up until this year. One of my orders disappeared and another one shipped to me damage with no reply so far. The first item was hot so you could make the argument hey their running a business to make money but the second set of items I bought was not hot in the least. Capsule came cracked and 2 coins had finger prints on them. Just sharing my experience, you can take it anyway you wish. I will never buy from them ever again and I'll trash them at every chance I get. I have no issue with people selling hot coin at what ever price they want to list them at. When you placed an order and made payment, it's a binding contract (even if they hadn't take your money yet but they can take them anytime they want as they got your credit card info or paypal info). I expect to get the coins if I made such a commitment and I would expect them to honor it. But in Talisman term, if they hadn't withdrew money from you (even when they took it from you on paypal - they refund it), they can renege on the deal if it is hot coins citing delays by mint (yet you can see they selling the same coin on ebay) or just delete your order like it's never happen before. I pre-sold the God of Olympus coin to someone on RFD for $20 profit (I am not complaining here) but I could of lied to that individual and told them Perth Mint screwed me over and I didn't get the coin and re-sell that coin on ebay with $200+ profit. Instead, I send the coin to that person with the price we agreed upon.

The pricing on the eagle coins is odd. The gold plated version is cheaper than the non gold plated version?
I have seen some other dealers selling these coins with reversed prices?

Agreed on the eagle pricing. Per the rep e-mail, single coin prices are eagle on perch (w/ gilding) is $114.95, soaring eagle is (colour) $99.95, and eagle with fish (no colour or gilding) is $89.95. Dealers have the same pricing. The sub has the gold at 89.95 and the plain at 114.95 in error. http://www.mint.ca/store/coin/fine-....U2lFa4ZzaM8

The description lists the first coin for $89.95, then lists the 2nd coin for $99.95 and the 3rd coin for $114.95. You are billed separately for each coin.
The pricing is right but which coin is supposed to be shipped first?

From the RCM website: "...Coins in your subscription include:
#1 - 1 oz. Fine Silver Gold-Plated Coin - Perched Bald Eagle - Only $89.95... "it indicates, that the Gold plated will be the first one. Of cause the RCM may change even the prices (without speaking about description correction).

Interesting, with the May release, the number of coins issued this year goes to about 93. Only 73 were issued to this point last year. The RCM motto continues to be more, more, more. How do you like it? How do you like it?

What I find strange (or maybe I'm missing something) is that on the mint's site the Eagle coins subscription gives a total mintage of 3,000. There is no mention of different mintage for each of the five coins, so I interpret this to mean that there are going to be 3,000 of each of the five Eagles.
Canadian Coin & Currency is offering the coins separately, but there is no mention of mintage for the three silver Eagles, but for the platinum and gold they state: "...A low mintage of only 3,000 coins...".
Is the mint hiding something? Hmmmmmm...

Agreed Moose, the Mint website is kind of vague though the silver 3 coin sub shows 8500. Colonial acres show the mintage on the silver coins at 8500 each. The rep e-mail had the same. 8500 for silvers and 3000 for gold and platinum. So basically, there will be 3000 gold, 3000 platinum and 8500 each for the silvers that will be spread amongst 5 coin subs, 3 coin subs and individual coin sales. BTW, I don't see any difference in ordering individual coins and ordering 'subscriptions'. The prices seem the same and they all come in maroon clamshells - no sub specific box. Why would anyone buy the subs? What am I missing?

@CC-Ottawa, I agree....there are a lot of coins and as a new collector I find it a little overwhelming. Their all beautiful pieces but I find it hard trying to decide what to go after. I ended up purchasing the 3 bald eagles sub & the express of Ireland. Came close to buying the river rapids & anniversary of WW1 but backed off. But who knows, when it's all said & done I just want something I enjoy looking at and hopefully hold it's value down the road. Basically I agree with you, from my short time collecting it does seem to be more more more wit RCM. I wonder If there be as many new coins in June as May or will it slow down a bit ?

Colonial Acres lists also new "$20for$20" coin, for CAD 21.95. Not bad, but not enough attractive for me, in order to buy it. http://colonialacres.com/product/58...30530?ref=47Ended buying only Bison #4 coin (as most attractive, IMO, from the set) for my "animal" theme.
