yea I liked that Bison coins and thats it... but even that one, I dont really have a rush to get it.
I really like many of their coins that offer animals, but I am looking for either either a clean simple look, like the 20 dollar canada goose coin..... or the Untamed canada series that ended, with the different finishes,,, like I love how striking the pronghorn looks in that series, he just stares at you in a stoic manner lol
In fact I find coins that they released from last year more on my to get list, such as the Ducks of Canada, I want those. But going forward, I am not too crazy about anything.
I haven't even bothered to see whats for sale in fact. As I said earlier, I just been looking at what you guys say .

I just found that Talisman Coin is selling gold-plated Bald Eagle coin from this release on Bbay - http://www.ebay.com/itm/161294792121I thought he was an official dealer who I believe was not allowed to sell RCM's coins before public release. P.S. He is an official dealer - I just found him in the RCM' list of dealers.

Talisman had all five of the new Bald Eagle coins - three silver, 1 gold, 1 platinum - listed on ebay last night when I was scanning the Canadian coins section. It surprised me too! I wonder if they had something to do with the new eagle coins or they accidentally "jumped the gun" on the release?

Nice ordered 1 Friday from canadapost, remember you got to go to the post offices not on line or shoppers drug mart or a private outlet.

Yes, sometimes they run the model, that not exact honest, but this is the busines, and being not small business, they can allow for themselves to do it. But still they good dealer. (I just read about Anus Shop....). The situation is, that the Talisman has a huge stock of different coins, they are in US, the shipping charge is acceptable, and the prices are too (with the funny discount). Bought 3 times from them - no issues.

I was in the same boat as you silveroid. I bought from them with no issues, up until this year. One of my orders disappeared and another one shipped to me damage with no reply so far. The first item was hot so you could make the argument hey their running a business to make money but the second set of items I bought was not hot in the least. Capsule came cracked and 2 coins had finger prints on them. Just sharing my experience, you can take it anyway you wish.

Sorry to hear this, chubbycheeks
I want to believe - with the responsible and care dealers this will not happen. In your place, I would also stop to deal with them.

Here are my guesses at coins #2 and #3 in the RCM's "Lost Ships in Canadian Waters" series: 1. RMS Empress of Ireland (current release) 2. RMS Atlantic (future) 3. SS Princess Sophia (future) Anyone have any "inside" information with different ships?

Hello all Brand new to this highly informed community of collectors... Very much enjoyed many past postings as a outsider looking in...especially so from the RCM aficionados. So I shall commence by offering up a reply to "commens" fantastic lobby on the latest RCM gem of a series - lost ships in cdn waters. I refer to this series as a gem primarily because it immediately stirs up a desire within to seek out more about the subject matter depicted on the coin. (which RCM has historically excelled at - less so lately) The first coin, Empress of Ireland - is truly striking in terms of its image - the artist nails it in the way the image conveys the ships final moments. I'm no insider commens, and as such shall predict as you have. Upon further research I would be inclined to agree with your #2 and #3 ...possibilities. However, would the SS Edmund Fitzgerald fit within the scope of this promising coin series? And, is the most famous of all ships to sink near or in Canadian waters - RMS Titanic - to resurface off the Newfoundland so soon again in coin format. (is 600 kms off Newfoundland coastline too distant to fall within this coin series theme?)

Yes sherwooddavid, I doubt Titanic will resurface in this instance - despite satisfying the criteria of this series in many ways; two reasons Titanic will be excluded: not sufficiently within cdn waters and too soon since 2012 releases...
I very much support the inclusion of the two ships highlighted within commens two guesses - both very strong candidates for this series - consistent in that they are both spectacular shipwrecks well within cdn waters (very much like Empress of Ireland) and both incredible tragedies resulting from extraordinary human miscalculations and errors in judgment.

All the May release coins on the RCM website, all available except the "Bison Family" which already "awaiting stock", but available at the dealers for issue price. Let's see the sold outs....
