I was reconsidering my decision to take a pass on this month's offerings and was going to purchase the second coin in the series called The Seven Sacred Teachings: Respect. I collect coins with Buffalo/Bison designs and this one is very attractive, showing a Native riding a Buffalo bareback. Unfortunately, it was already showing "Awaiting Stock" yesterday afternoon!  Oh well... Perhaps I find it eventually from another dealer. Edited by NuMoosematist

Does "awaiting stock" basically mean sold out ? Has there ever been a coin that that has become available after the "awaiting stock" status ?

I am pretty sure the coin will be available from other dealers....even RCM might restock them.. |

This new proof silver dollar set really peeves me off. I already bought the proof silver dollar for 60 bucks and now I will have to buy the set for a hundred so I can get the proof loon that is not gold plated. :-( I guess I should have waited until the year end sales. But in the mean time I'm going to look at the ebay sales of the loon. Might be the best way to go. It sucks to be addicted to this hobby. At least this has been my cheapest year in a long time. I think I'm done with most of the granny bait. Just trying to keep my dollar collection com pleat. |

@parkay: Had to call the RCM re: another matter and while I had them on the line I asked about the proof WWI SD. The person I spoke with confirmed that the SD in the proof set is the same one that is available individually. I did look at both coin images on the web site like you mentioned and saw the same difference you did. Glad to find that it was just a case of updated image use. shopaholic nailed it! I may pick up one of the eagle coins but I'm still undecided. I like the 2014 gold blessings, I like the series as a whole but also know I'll probably be able to get them at a deal later on due to the drop in the price of gold. Although keeping the issue price at 988 does help the older ones hold some value.

I wish they had the same attitude when the prices fall....as they did when the prices went up.
I had a standing order for the Gold $100 and $200 coins, to ship after the summer (when I made my most money on overtime)
One year, as the price of gold was going up, I was contacted mid-summer that the prices of my coins would increase - it was nice that they gave me 'heads-up', and I took advantage of the original price. I don't think that you will ever see the price of coins (gold or silver) go down from issue price through-out particular year, They may however, give you deals like free shipping etc.

I stopped receiving MC emails, which really makes me upset because I dont have the time to check the site for updates....yet I still get the letter mail updates.
I ordered the $50 for $50 and the R.M.S. Empress of Ireland. First coin order in over a few months!
