It's a Gordian III from Nicaea, similar to this one on VCoins.

These are a really nice coin type & I personally think they are very much under rated, I have a few now & here is one of mine.

What is interesting about these is that a large percentage seem to have 2 different metals to them, a bit like fouree coins they seem to have an inner core and an outer 'layer'

The first coin pictured has been cleaned in distilled water and with a soft toothbrush, The second coin has been cleaned using an acid that seems to have removed the outer layer.

I am not the one that cleaned either coin, but an interesting note. I have seen this on almost all the coins of this type so was it common practice?
