Those last three coins are really unusual. That Soest key is a little cruder in design than most which makes it interesting. And the bronze doppelthaler is just amazing. Quote: as well as two birds and a bat? I think the one beneath the bat is an owl? Hildesheim 1494 sechsling. One of my rarest coins, though not terribly valuable.

Saxe-Coburg-Gotha - Ernst II (1844-1893), 1852 Thaler The edge inscription NACH DER CONVENTION VOM 30 IULY 1838 refers to the Dresden Coinage Convention. This was a pivotal agreement between the states of the Zollverein (German Customs Union) to standardize the silver content of their currencies, a precursor to the eventual unification of Germany.
