Amazing to think that the silver 5 mark continued to be made until 1974!


My add for today is this tiny 1773 1 Kreuzer from the free imperial city of Nuremberg - it's only 0.65g and 15mm but manages to get a cityscape on the reverse

Such a cool coin! It makes me wish I had a reason to add one to my collection.
Here is an undated 1/2 batzen of the City of Constance/Konstanz. As best I can tell, based on the mixed gothic-modern letterforms (especially the modern N), it dates from 1525-1535 when the lettering shifted from the earlier style to the later one.
