HI..I got a better picture of my find and wonder if anyone can help me identify what it is? a token or an ancient blank coin? inside is a different material don't look like metal, and outside is covered with what it seems Gold. what I think is why a simple token be covered with gold?

It sure looks like a gilded button to me. Old buttons usually have a raised bump or two in the center of the backside where a loop used to be to allow attachment.

I don't think it's a button there isn't anything behind it to show that its a button. Did anyone see something like this before? I'll appreciate anybody's opinion. Thanks
