What my understanding is that the dies in the press are not tight fitting as you would expect, there is some "play" between the dies and the collar which results in what you see here. (A little more rim on one side than the other) If the strike gets to the point where there is no rim on one side then you have something special. There's a lot to learn about this stuff. Even things like there's two kinds of 2004 20 cent. I was going to ask about one that I found that had a smaller head.
