The light scratch on the front isn't nearly as bad as it appears in one of the photos. I personally think its a beauty. Honest criticism or comments welcome.. I am still learning! Oh and I will remove that sticker off the back, just can't take my own photos this well.

Don't let the "skritchy" look of the coin deceive about the grade - this one's a 64 all day. Indians, with their incuse design, are very easily scratched. There are, I think, only 4 MS67's for the entire series in PCGS slabs.

And 1926 starts getting a bit pricey at the MS64 level. 66 is Top Pop for this one, and the coin pictured here fetches $900 on the market.

What @SsuperDdave said is correct with gold scratching easy.
Think of it this way, Gold is a soft metal, lots of things can
easily scratch it such as, sand, dirt, keys, and wiping it with a cloth/shirt.
Things like that.

By the way, nice Gold Eagle!

Beautiful! Not to mention, I love any US coin with either a Native American or a Buffalo.

Any other opinions? I think this will be the nicest one I own.

It seems a little hard to see all the detail when the luster is like this. Less contrast on the gold.

I think it's a great coin, one of the nicest indians I've ever seen and definitely worthy of the grade.

Thanks Machine20. I think its the nicest I will have in my collection by far. Can't wait to get it. Its on hold for a month or so till I am ready to pay. I am sure the luster will be great in person, after seeing these photos.
Rest in Peace

This one is a real beauty....much nicer than any of my indian incuse coins(And I own about 25 of them). The light scratch on the top, and the few light scratches on the reverse top is the only thing keeping this from a 65 imho....the luster and overall look of the coin says GEM to me. It looks like an old holder, if I were to guess, I think it would make it into a 64+ PCGS holder if resubmitted....but could be wrong.

First time I have heard a complaint about this kind of luster. Very nice quarter eagle, very nice.
