Hi,

I've been working on a new page on my coin site - Rupees from the Indian Subcontinent and surrounding area.

As with all these things, it's a work in progress and I notice there are a few ruler pictures that need fixed.

Clicking on the coin should bring up a larger image, but clicking on the ruler picture will be a dead link - again work in progress.

Hopefully it's of interest.

Very nice!

I would be lost trying to ID most of these coins.
What little I know of this era comes from wikipedia.

I wonder how you learned to ID these coins?
Is Krause sufficient or do you use a special catalog or website?

Thanks for the comments.

Krause isn't bad for Indian Rupees (depends on the edition - some have dark images)- but my first port of call is always Zeno.ru

Also this site is great for British India coins

you could spend hours exploring both those sites.
