Nice check: company and bank have long histories. And it's always nice to find a check where the bank vignette actually reflects the real building.

Ah, I just love those old Beaux-Arts style domes. I wanted to see if the original bank building was still around, but alas, no -- although it did survive until at least the 1940s. Thanks to Google Street View, here's what the bank building looks like now.

New arrival today. Rather small amount for a company check but it'll do; besides I love the number 8118

Here's a real puzzle, two checks from the same company; printed by the same printer; there's a big difference.
Number 1 is a new(today) acquisition and Number 2 is one I posted recently in this thread.
== Number 1: written July 1880; number 1839

== Number 2: written November 1880, number 2455

Here is another old check that caught my eye. As a lifelong baseball fan, the city appealed to me and the artwork seems nice.

Always satisfying when I can match a somewhat unrelated item with a check. Here's a nice match: a check with a personalized postcard. And I've included a link to a bit of history about PEIRCE City, interesting reading.
