I'm more interested in getting the other images, which I think are cool. I think it will take a year to see where this series goes in value, much like the Dino coin. It takes time for word to spread to the serious collector and to others collecting ghost themed items. A week is way to short a period to make a conclusion.

The Glow in the Dark Dino coin had a slow start in the first week or two but it caught fire quite rapidly. It was sold for as much as 6x issue price in the first few months. Much of this was due to supply shortages caused by Mint production problems. Some people didn't get their coins until 6+ months after release.

This is certainly not the case with the Haunted coin with all the coins released at once.

Also, the Dino coin dropped in price after one year.

A week may be too soon but a month should be enough to see where this coin is going.

The next coin in the series will be released in 2015 according to the mints Facebook page:

"We enjoy reading your ghost stories so much that we can't wait to release the next coin in this series in 2015!"

So we have to wait a year for the next haunted coin? I was excited to see the next image! I like the remaining images much better. I thought since the stamp images Re released they'd be doing new release on every 2 months. Although doing a yearly release could keep interest in the series up. The good thing at least my wallet will have a break! It would be fun if they applied the glow in the dark technology to future releases. I think it would be the most appropriate use of the new technology. I looked on the Facebook page and I didn't see any contest or mention of next release in 2015. Can anyone verify, I somehow didn't see these 2 facts please?

I think the clamshell version is the one that has gone up, the stamp one not, as clamshell has a mintage of 5000 and is practically sold out at the mint, versus stamp set which are plenty in stock at CP

Depends on how many you have already. I wouldn't go overboard on this coin. Its not doing that well on ebay. I don't think the demand is there for this coin. The only reason the clamshell sold out so fast is due to people hoarding them.

There is no buzz about this coin, unlike the Superman or 1st glow in the dark coin. There is none of the "I got to have this coin".
