But my nearby store has a very worn (not holed, nor bent, but maybe [American] FR quality) Scottish copper coin for $9 Canadian (5 pounds). There's not much detail but it's attributable (sadly I forget the denomination, a bit dopey of me). Is this worth buying? (if you were the one paying, not me - if these are cheaper in the UK then I wouldn't bother looking for one in Canada). Report this Post to the Staff

These Scottish coins apparently circulated a huge lot, so FR quality is pretty much normal (at least if it's one of the small coppers). If the date is still visible, definitely buy... I personally would even if it isn't (I've wanted to get one of these for ages, but so far no coin shop I've visited seemed to have one). Report this Post to the Staff
