I dont think I will ever understand that connection or the mints logic. Why make it a bundle on their site and offer the silver coin solo through Canada post. Maybe its just me

I wholeheartedly agree, its a strange marketing practice. They did it with the recent annual eagle set that came out a few months ago but those coins were available to be purchased as singles.

Just another reason I have cut back on the mints products.
There are still nice coins coming for sure but I dont buy what I used to.

Quote: But mintage for the silver Mammoth is 7,500 so there must 4,500 selling as singles somewhere at some time. According to the RCM pattern recent years, it will be offered as single too. Only boxed sets sold together (also here we have exception as 2010 and 2011 Silver Dollars). Mint will not loose profit buy mandatory bundling silver coin to the gold one. Added: The Lion appears only on the Coat of Arms in the RCM coins (correct me if I wrong), and this one - looks gorgeous! Will get it without rest of the series.

Just bought the gold & silver Donald Duck at the NZ mint...my first purchase from them. $830 cdn total included free shipping. I'll have to wait and see if there are any duties or brokerage fees now.

I ordered two silver Donald Duck coins from The Coin Shoppe. It looks like the New Zealand Mint is down to 840 silver coins and is completely sold out of the gold.

The best design and silver work - 5 oz. Fine Silver Coin - The Legend of the Spirit Bear
Too bad - cannot afford it....ordered non-expensive "Salmon" for the First Nations and gorgeous Lion (banknote coin).
And the worst idea (IMO) was to create Green maple Leaf...like the colour of one of the Saudi countries, but not Canada.

Quote: The best design and silver work - 5 oz. Fine Silver Coin - The Legend of the Spirit Bear Definitely a very interesting design - lots of symbolism involved. It would be nice to see a full-colour version of the scene depicted on the "coin." My only purchase from the release: the Special Edition WWII silver dollar. "War on the Home Front" is a good theme for a commemorative coin and this one looks like it will be nice in hand. Besides, need to keep the SD collection complete!

I ordered the Lion "Bank Note" coin.
I'll most likely pass on all of the others.
