Sorry another question where do I sell this coin? Any ideas? I am an ebay powerseller of computer parts. Should I list on ebay with a reserve price? And if so what reserve price? What is a realistic selling price?

Excellent! I would want it in a more focused numismatic auction rather than ebay. Look into Heritage or Stacks....imho.

Wow congratulations! Your dad really knew how to save for a rainy day! I bet you that the long turnaround time was due to PCGS sending the coin out to be examined by other experts. Again, great find!

Spectacular! Out of all the amazing finds I've seen posted on here (including a $50 pan pacific set and a 1916 DDO Buffalo nickel that graded au58 when sent in) this is my favorite! I have a soft spot in my heart for Barber dimes and this one is just plain fantastic. congrats my friend!

Very nice! Glad to hear this was authenticated, and the TrueView pics look great! I agree with the others that I might look into a more specialized auction venue than eBay- check into Heritage. They would almost certainly get you more than ebay, I would think.

Simply Awesome and a beautiful coin. Glad that it turned out authentic. Keep us informed on if you decide one of the auction houses or not.

Hello I have spoken with Heritage this is where coin will be sold at auction. I emailed them last night and they contacted first thing this morning. He said this is one of if not the coolest coin he has seen. Will appeal to brockage, Barber dime and error collectors. They want in their big auction first week in January. They said the problem is nothing like this has ever sold. Said closest item was I believe a 1918 coin that went for 26k. Estimated coin in the 15k area but would not be surprised to see a much higher selling price. I just hope 2 people really want this coin. Thanks again all.

Sounds like it'll go in the FUN Signature Auction. I bet you'll do really well with it.
