When I selected my current avatar, I was concentrating on putting together my Franklin set, but I can't really say I have a favorite. As someone on the previous page mentioned, whatever catches my eye is fair game.

My favorite coins to collect are half dollars, any that are silver from bust to Kennedy and into commemoratives all are sought by me.

And to the original poster Franklin proof cameo's are especially cool.

Too many to choose. I have been leaning towards very limited mintages of silver coins. Recently I picked up a 1/2oz Great White Shark from Perth.

Franklin halves here, cameo proofs at the moment. I've extended my proof/SMS collection to include the kennedy short set.

Second for me are commemoratives, classic and modern.

Gold sovereigns, especially those issued before the First World War because they were actually in circulation.

For me is Wheats (thanks to grandma 40 years ago), Buffalo & Jefferson nickels, Kennedy halves, and Indian Head cents. However, there are many that I want and have seen that are going to be in one of my albums someday...slow and steady wins the race :)

PF CAM Franklin halves definitely are a great series. A 7070 type set is also a nice way to collect and always popular since one can decide on various ways to go on the 7070.
