This coin is fresh from a roll. The ear looks doubled. Maybe the beard too, and possibly a faint bit of the corner of the bowtie. But the doubled ear does not look quite as distinct on this one as on some of the examples I've found elsewhere online. So I'm not certain. Looking and hoping for confirmation.    |

I meant the lower edge of the doubled ear looks a little discontinuous. But I'm pretty sure it looks right.
Hadn't found any coins particularly post-worthy in months. Suddenly two in one day. Funny coincidence.

Thanks guys. I've casually searched penny rolls for a few months now. The highlights have been several dozen wheat cents, a corroded 1983 Cud, and a 2000 Wide AM LMC. Nothing spectacular, but enough to keep me interested. I've always known that there were cool coins out there waiting to be found - after all, people on here post their discoveries all the time. But I think you don't really believe it until you find something fairly scarce for yourself. |
