This problem is exactly why I'm starting a Franklin set...

I really like Albums. And as SAP mentioned about some company telling me what to collect. I agree that really is lousy. I'd say something else but it might get deleted. Most manufacturers of Albums and Folders copy each other to some degree. However, Dansco really should but that thing they have about leaving so many blanks at the end of most Albums ticks me off. That and no method of removing slides too gets me. For Dansco I suspect most like them due to the color fits in with expensive looking books then hide them away anyway.
I keep almsot all my coins in Albums. I have well over 100 Albums and most full. Some I've had so long most of the pages are from additionals with nothing on them squeezed in for coins made well aftet the Album. I even make my own collections with several types of coins in one Album. Such as Shield/Liberty Head/Buffalo/Jefferson Nickels. No proofs of course.
As to the blank slots, I have none. For those oddball and rather rare ones, I eventually just buy them. Sure wish there was someone to complain to at the companies that make Albums but most don't care.
As to putting those little stickers from a slab on a page in an Album. I USED to do that too. Then one day I said to myself, SELF, what are you doing. I don't care what a coin in this album WAS. It's mine now and no one would really believe that he sticker was for the coin here now anyway. So I dumped them all.

Hey, thank for all the comments. That was really interesting. I think I will be more of a optimist and perhaps in the future, I'll have enough $$ to fill in the expensive ones!
