I am also keen to find out this information. I have a few coins I would like to get slabbed. If I can keep them in the country that would be great.

Your on the wrong coin forum to get a result in pictures as what I have seen in the past, people who have used this service have virtually been driven away from this forum by members which is unfortunate for the coin community.

What a load of old codswallop, NOBODY has been driven away for using this service at all. Maybe a couple of people that were promoting and actively spamming the site about this service might have been slightly ostracized. A cannot recall any instance where a member has been "Bad Mouthed" just for using this Mob. There seems to be an agenda by certain members to promote this company once again using this thread and another when in all reality it is NOT the best place to get coins graded at all. Crikey what part of This is not a reputable and proven grading company don't people understand ?

I don't see people being driven away from this forum, I don't see people being bad mouthed. I do see people expressing a strong opinion, and that's fine, it's a free country, they are entitled to that opinion. It may be well founded, and based on experience, and that is why they have that opinion. I do not have any coins from this label, as this forum is my sole source of information and inspiration, if you look at the previous posts - you can see why. There are, however, myself and other newer forum members who would like to make an informed judgement. Grades, judgements and opinions, based on years of experience are offered by knowledgable forum members. And, in that respect - to those of you who have an agenda - If you want to promote your product, if you think your product is as good as the more reputable TPG's - then prove it!

I have to agree with Trout on this occasion.APCGS didn't start out too out well with their overgrading and use of a grading system that was laughable. Here's a poor attempt at self promotion on a previous thread which wasn't well received https://goccf.com/t/156277&whichpage=1

And here's the thread when they started to lose people, innocent people over it https://goccf.com/t/170593&whichpage=1And as you will see, it's the same people stirring it up again in this thread

Yep. Fair enough. Can see why you might be grinding an axe. And, it would probably take a fair effort to change well founded opinions, and get over strong personalities. However, back on topic - I'm not gonna see any any coin pics, am I?

Quote: Then how was that helpful rbarat Someone asked for a picture, and whilst I don't have any personal experiences with APCGS I went to their site and found 2 pages of coins they have graded. From there I posted a link to one of those coins. Here is a link to the APCGS website with the coins they have graded. http://www.apcgs.com.au/main/page_f...ote_14a.htmlI'm sorry I can't be more helpful. I guess from my perspective - I can only ask what YOU want to achieve by getting the coins slabbed. Do you want to resell them? Protect the coins in the sturdy holders? Do you want to see how your grading fares against someone who you pay to grade the coins. Those who have used the service before, may have done so for a different reason to why you are considering it.

I have looked at their pages of coins. I am looking for personal experiences with them. I am trying to gauge any improvement in the company and if this will continue. As to what I want. Protection at the moment. I have three kids and coins that wont be worth much for many years so I would like a protection for them that will last. Slabbing from APCGS for selling is not a viable option because they don't demand a premium like PCGS because investors don't buy their slabs, which is a double edged sword as it is good for collectors that buy to enjoy the coins as their is no artificial inflation in the price. I am not interested in comparing my grade to any TPG's as it is in their best interest to grade as high as they can get away with. I asked what people thought their coins would grade at to see the difference in the grades. I like to see other people that are collectors grades on coins, as they have no interest in how the grade they give to a coin affects the value.
