It is a real shame because this coin has a pretty good strike. I hate it when people do this to nice coins. PM me your postal address Sane old Mate and I will send you a half decent one. I think I may have a couple of these Canberra's spare

As a footnote, Be very weary of Blast white Canberra Florins because the are made of Stirling Silver that is very Prone to tarnishing/Toning. IMHO most of the Blast white Canberra's out there have had the odd expert dipping at least once. I much prefer an honestly toned coin to something that looks like it was minted yesterday , Bear in mind that these coins were Minted 88 years ago and that is a lot of time to tone up in Nannas Knickers draw

Quote: I much prefer an honestly toned coin to something that looks like it was minted yesterday Yeah, still there is a market for "nice" shiny ones on ebay. I've never worried much about 27 Canberra 2/-,i just threw them into a Bank Bag that I still have, until the rise of ebay they didn't have much value. So as a non-expert is that coin classified a 3 stepper?,i thought the early minted ones had a clearly defined top step.

I have quite a few of these coins probably a couple of hundred at the moment. I have many Uncirculated ones but my Favourite coin would only Grade at AU58 but the strike is astonishingly good and has beautiful toning as well
