I posted about this cent before asking if anyone had any info on the variety. I sent to NGC for grading and it came back XF 40 BN. So now I don't know what to do to figure out the variety. I emailed Rick snow but got no response. Any other ideas?

It looks like a die chip or extra metal to me.

I just checked the newest snow book 3.0 the only die chip listed in the book for that year in it is S7 (die chip / digit in neck) which is not that.

Rick is probably out of town this week at the Summer FUN show in Florida, he will be back next week, but will probably be busy taking care of after show purchases and sales paperwork.

I'd say this looks like a planchet with added metal blob, or possibly a die chip.
