I just won this lot of V nickels on ebay. One of them is specified as 188?. I think this is the one. Can you tell the date? Perhaps I should take a look when I get them and see if a high resolution scan would show it. I enhanced the original as best as I could from the original bad pic.

Hope it appears like a worn out 6 like it appears but I will have to see about that. Probably an 1888 or 1887.

Looks more like 1888 than anything else to me.

I may just have to wait and do a high resolution scan. I hope it is a 1886 but something tells me it is 1888 since it is in a better date lot.

Can't tell from those images, hopefully it's more visible in-hand and you end up with a better date.
