Quote: MCM has it at $1699 for NGC Proof 70 UC, appears there are plenty of 70's graded. +Free Domestic shipping. I was going to buy those and found a couple for around $1600 (1604/1614) from Paradise Mint (on ebay) also with free shipping and no charge for CC use. Went with those...be patient...there will be a lot out there VERY soon. Right before AND after I bought mine someone paid $1750 for the same coin. Be patient grasshopper.....

It seem that there are enough MS 70's for every collectors, prices will not go anywhere but mint issued price in the future, but if the Mint decide to stop production say 100K? That maybe a difference story!
Anyone has figure how many been sold so far?

Wow, speaking of a value that appreciates, the US Mint is not too overpriced compared to RCM. Gold has actually gone above the $1600s in the past, and very likely, it will again in the future.

Anyone has figure how many been sold so far? Yes there will be a decent amount of PF70's (not MS) around. I really doubt if the 70 ER/FS or the raw and PF69 will equal the "Mint issued price" of $1247 I don't think the total minted will be above 75k and probably a bit less..so it will be "a difference story" 63,521 sold as of Sunday

"Noted" Foxwoods Man!
NICE! If mintage figure around 75K, it would be 25-30% less than the 2009 UHR gold coin.

I ordered mine from the mint and plan to submit mine for grading with either PCGS or NGC from the prices I have seen for MS69/70; I will save money for sure.

@ Condor101 Hmmm that would be a bummer but I will live with it; but then you hear the quality of the coins minted now so I'm willing to take the chance. My real decision is what Grading Company.

If you do not belong to either PCGS or NGC than that is an additional cost added to grading fees...so figure around $150 for the one coin. The quality, depending on what you read, does seem to be pretty good. I looked for POP reports from both companies and I couldn't find any yet. I bet they will lean strongly in favor of the 70's. Obviously the choice of companies is your preference. Personally I like the NGC "Ask not" label hands down over the kinda blah PCGS label. I can't compare selling prices since PCGS seems to have shipped only the ANA Chicago coins so far. Also...I checked over 50 completed sales from both companies and saw only 3 PF69's...I should add that a PF69 from the ANA Chicago initial release sold for only $1349 which doesn't bode well for a non-show 69.

Got both of my gold Kennedy today, not thrill with one of them, so it goes back to the Mint. I may have to buy one after market slab also.

Just got mine today in the mail from UPS. Great looking coin and I'm certainly not worried about sending it in for grading if I don't buy a slabbed coin and keep it intact in the mint packaging. As far as to what grader I believe I will go with NGC because after dealing with PCGS I think NGC will give me a better shake. That being said my total cost was 1282.45 from the Mint!

@BadToTheBone: Seeing as how you paid the $1300+ gold price for yours and are now thinking of submitting for grading? I would return your coin to the mint and buy an NGC certified PF70DCAM. This one sold for $1325 on ebay yesterday: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2014-W-GOLD...em4adb1ded77Prices are at a low right now. With ebay Bucks and CC Cashback you might get another 3%-4% off the ebay prices and get a 70 graded coin for less than the $1282 you already spent. Just a thought for you to consider.

@BH1964 Yes that is certainly something to consider but I will keep what I have from the mint because I like the look of the Kennedy from the mint and I also believe not in my lifetime but in the future the Mint Set will increase in value. So when the children sell the collection it will increase somewhat in value. So if I see another slabbed MS70 cheaper I will get it.
