Is this 1979 Susan B. Agony the near date/wide rim variety? It looks so on one side but not the other, and looks more apparent on the reverse. I don't really do varieties, but got it in change from a gas station, so I thought I'd ask. Thanks!

Someone gave me a good pictorial example to tell the two apart once. I cannot find the images but they are around on this forum. Simply, and even for bad eyes, the wide rim/near date it almost looks like the date is touching the rim. The reverse of the coin won't really help you tell it is one.

Actually just goggled and found the exact images that were given to me that I saved, online as a single image that really shows the difference. They are a little smaller than the originals when someone made them one image, but you can clearly see and tell what the difference in the two is.

How about this one; I pulled it from circulation today. I'm almost positive this one is a Near Date, because there is almost NO space between the date and the rim.

I think I threw one back, I did not know anything about them but I notice one looked extra wide. It was in good shape to I kept it (wide one).
I was looking at other dates and they looked close to I thought I had the rare one.

What are they worth?

Here is a price guide for your coin. Depending on grade, you can get a ball park retail figure.
