Hi everyone,

I am going to be in Barcelona on Sunday August 17 and I have seen online that there is usually a coin market in Placa Reial. Does anyone know if this market is still happening? What should I expect? Thanks!

Yes, that market in Plaça Reial is open every Sunday (9-14 or 10-14.30 h, I think). Quite a few sellers offer coins, stamps, paper money, decorations, etc. there. Worth a visit even if you do not plan to buy anything. :)

Quite common in Spain I think, at least when I lived in Granada and accepted they had them on, unless it rained.

Try the Mercado San Francisco also. I have picked up a few coins there as well, mostly fakes though. Not too far from the Ramblas.

And Mercado de San Antonio for books. You can get a nice catalog for less than a menú
