So I called the mint and they told me that the 5oz coins will be a series called the 6 Canadian Circulation Coins from the 5, 10, 25, 50 (yes 50c), 1$ and 2$. There is going to be a superhero coin coming in September, but even they can't tell me which one it is. I know batman is 75 this year, but he has no canadian links.

Lots have been on September release here and on other forum. I know there will be around 34 new coins coming out, including 4 superman coin.
But one that cought my interest is the new glow in the dark Star Charts series.
Did any of you that saw it can give their appreciation of the coin and the series?
Thanks

Had my posts removed from here for elaborating on too much detail; however, the full list is complete for your viewing pleasure.
Enjoy

I'm "happy" to say that none of the September releases interests me, so I'll be on the sidelines until at least October.

I think the star chart coin looks interesting. It would be nice if they included a story / some history with the coin. It says you can place all 4 displays together to reveal a larger image.

I like the Chicago ANA privy mark coin,, but I feel a tad hesitant, seems like if I wait say 3-4 months I'll find a lower price on ebay.... those the price at GateWest doesn't seem terrible but I think this one can be had for probably 10 bucks less than gatewest's price.

I guess my question with the duck coin is what does this mean for the first set of three? Since the first three came with a box, will another box be provided for this coming coin? It just makes no sense to me.

If the Mint made a nicer box with another duck accessory other than a duck call, then maybe I'll be ineterested.

IMO, the new box will be , only if new subscription will be declared. I don't think that Mint cares, that first 3 are in the box, and the 4-th or even 5-th wil be as singles.

I just called the Mint, the guy told me that although they are sold out on the gold coin today, they have set aside a few coins of the 1 gold and 3 silvers for the Sept. 2nd release on the website. Usually they update it at 12:00 so if you're fast enough you can still get one of each or just one of them.

It's a good coin, but what does it do in September release topic?

The catalogue arrived today.
There are some nice coins but I was most looking forward to the six 5oz coin series celebration of circulation coins. For those wondering, there is a 50 cent coin and all of the coins have their respective circulations values; that is 5¢, 10¢, 25¢, 50¢, $1 and $2.
Sadly, I don't like the gold plating on them. I think they would have been better had they just been done as brilliant uncirculated or proof like the 2012 1¢. The case looks nice and they should present well but for 3300$ they would have to.
The Superman coins are also in the catalogue so maybe they will be on display tonight at the MC event. Maybe even for sale?
