Quote: Sadly, I don't like the gold plating on them. I think they would have been better had they just been done as brilliant uncirculated or proof like the 2012 1¢. The case looks nice and they should present well but for 3300$ they would have to. Is there one case for the whole series or are you talking about each coin's individual case? Thinking of just getting the $1 and $2 coins from this series.

There is a dark wooden box (maybe cherry coloured) pictured which you get with the 2nd coin. It doesn't show the coins, including the first loonie, as individual offerings. It's not clear that you can order any of them without subscribing to the series.
Release dates are Sept, November, March, May, July and October.
Also, the coins are very slightly larger than the penny too - 62.25mm versus 65mm.

I'll wait until I see one in-hand tough, it could be surprising. Quote: Release dates are Sept, November, March, May, July and October. darn RCM... they'll never learn. Yes we are in an instant world, where we all want to have everything and NOW! But...... this should have been an annual series, or maybe two coins a year, but common, why hurry all these new series? 550$ every 2-3 months for a series is too much for the average collector! Just like the monthly release of the 7 sacred teachings... should this 7 sacred series been every 3-4 months, I'm sure it would have been a lot more successful!

Stupid move. But the mintage is 1.500 - correct? I think, this small amount will be grabbed away even with the monthly release subscription only. Well, if there is will be no individuals, that could be true, I'll search in the sec marked for the Beaver or/and Coat of the Arms.

@coincanuck94 I was looking forward to the howling wolf coin. Thanks for sharing the picture I'll be sure to get one.
With the way the year has been going you'd think they would try to slow it down a little.

Saw the 5oz coin in hand today. I like it but not sure if I like it enough to get the subscription.

My afraid for 5oz coin, that if I want only one of them from future release, it will be much harder to get rather 1-st. If the coins will be offered individually too, and people will like the first - they will try get these as series.... Same refers to the re-sellers.

I like it after seeing it live. But like lostwords, don't feel I can spend that much on the set.
On the sub box, they should've made a slot for the penny. That would've been sweet.

The Mint went insane How come, that the marketing people forgot how take the maximum money from the people? All this in one release?
Take a look at the 5oz sets - only 350, means that the individual coins will be available.
Platinum 1oz portrait looks great, but 1/10 oz strange...why not to make an effort and let the people spend additional $300.
The second "Cougar" very elegant... October release.
Emily Carr - the most unusual (traditional) silver coin - YES

I wonder when the remaining 1150 5oz coins will be released? Unless all the info we have read was wrong.... I will be getting the gold 25 cent Grizzly Bear & the X-mass gift set :-) Most likely I will get the two Duck coins and the $10 Northern Lights as well. I have the Duck set with the Duck call, I don't know how I will get this last one in the box :-(
