Well, being a silver collector and all, I asked my dad if he has/encountered any cool coin rolls. He said, "Oh yeah, I remember spending two rolls of silver dimes once... why do you ask"?

I was so sad.

? We spent rolls of silver dimes all the time in the '60's, shoot, my brother and I would rake a large lawn and get paid one dime each!

Up until about '68-'70, silver was common in change, even as thousands of citizens were hoarding...I remember back about 1977, as a teen, my buddy's mom brought out a fruit jar full of 'mercs...they had accumulated an entire jar of silver in just a few years...

And it's still possible in this day and age, through roll hunting, to amass a large amount of silver. Shoot, I've piled up 1,000+ silver dimes the last few years, and I'm small scale, part-time.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors...
Roll hunting since '77
Dirt fishing since '72

I asked my grandma if she had any silver coins and she said when she worked for the school cafeteria that a guy used 2 rolls of silver dimes she promptly pulled them out and stuck a 10 in the drawer... Thought this was funny cuzz your dad spent two rolls...
