I thought I finished my set with the tin a few months back until I learned that there were two alpine skiing cards. Now I can't seem to find one dated 2007. Anyone have an extra of this one?

Do you have both the alpine mule and normal alpine as well as all the other ones? Or just the 15 cards?

I only have the 15 cards. I have the alpine skiing mule dated 2008 but am missing the regular one dated 2007.

Oh hey SolarPenny, Do you collect every set of coin cards? The Alpine non-mule is worth more than the mule. It is very rare. Last one sold for close to $100. What other sets do you have excluding this and the Canadiens Centennial. By the way, I also just received the 1st coin today purchased it to for $45. That means I spent $105 on all 6 coins and the album. How about you? This olympic set including the tin is worth around $100. The Canadiens one with the album just sold today on ebay for around $200.

Hope to hear back soon!

I have the Petro Olympic set with the tin but missing the alpine non-mule. I have seen people on ebay asking $80-100 for them but I didn't think they were selling for those prices. The Canadiens set I am still looking for the album. I just finished getting the Vancouver mascot 50 cent set in the cards.

I spent $105 on my Canadiens set with album. And I have 2 #1 coins so I am going to make another set. I want to get the Olympic coin cards now. How much do you tend to pay for all these coin cards sets? Do you assemble them or buy them individually? I don't feel as much interest in the mascot ones and they are a little more expensive. Do you have any doubles or anything? Is your tin still in packaging?

I tend to get them individually. I bought a "full set" of the Petro quarters with the tin from CA but when I got it there were 2 doubles and 2 other ones missing, so I got the last 4 I needed on my own. I had bought a few prior to getting the set so I have some doubles of those quarters. The mascot set was the cheapest to finish out of the 3 for me, but I don't have any doubles of those ones. I am not sure if there is an album/tin for that set.

Ya I was just about to ask, I am pretty sure the tin was made for both sets because the RCM sold the tins too. I just bought 5 tins on ebay for cheap. Where did you get all the mascot ones? I can only find 7 and they are all $10-$15. How much have you paid for each of your sets? So far I have 2 Canadiens sets and one olympic set.

1-6 Canadiens and album $105 including shipping
1-6 Canadiens no album $75 including shipping
1-12 Olympic 5 tins $115 including shipping

Still looking for mascot set. Don't have any so far. Don't want to start and quit in the middle.

Petro-Canada-2010-Olympic-Collector-Cards.

Searched it up. Apparently they sold an album to hold all 12 cards. They sold it at CA for $13.

All the mascot coins are sold out as well as the album.

I have never seen that album before, but good to know, thanks! I will have to keep my eye out for that as well. I got the mascot ones from a variety of sources, ebay, CA, some local pickups. So far I have $68 for the Olympic set of 15 quarters with the tin, $85 for the Canadiens set with no album, and $70 for the set of 12 mascot coins with no album.

Wow I'm jealous. You got the full set from Colonial Acres for $68? I paid a little much but I got 4 tins that I can probably sell for $10-$15 each so that would make it $60-$80 for the set and one tin. I have no clue how you got all 12 for $70! That's crazy! Now onto the Mascot coin cards. How much did you pay for your tin?

Hello From Quebec City dear coin enthusiasts,

I own the complete set of this series.

All coins have been stored in the green tin box meant for this.

After basically 15 years of storage, I opened the box only to find out that of the 16 coins (I happen to have the alpin skiing mule), only the special coins (Men's hockey, women's hockey and Cindy Classen) aged differently and became yellow on the obverse and not the reverse.

This is weird to me as all 16 coins were stored in the same box, away from UVs and at the same temperature.

I looked on ebay and found that the three colored coins are always yellow.

Out of curiosity, does anyone have a decent explanation to why this happened?

Best Regards to all,

Example from ebay while I am trying to find a decent host to post my own picture :
