I'm at AU53. Issues with the rim does not appear to be PMD. Nice luster. Weakly struck. The open top of the D is interesting.

AU-55 for me. I didn't notice the Open Top "D" before panzaldi mentioned it but I've never anything like it before. Very nice

It sure is! I checked my 1868 and my 1869 3 Cents and they also have the top of the D missing! Weird!

Looking at 1868/9s on ebay shows most of them missing the top of the D. I had never noticed...
